| Car(s) History |
Unknown, but please let me know when you find out. Car is authentic, with chassis tag #38. I purchased the car while it was undergoing restoration by Marc Bahner. Most likely it was used by someone in California during the early 1970's as a Formula B car. An identical car won the 1972 British Formula Atlantic championship using the fairly new (at the time) Ford (Cosworth)BD. My car has an Atlantic spec BD originally built by Brian Hart. These cars are not in an official CSRG class, but on occasion have been invited to run. |
| Why I vintage race |
I couldn't do it when I was young and wanted to, so it was always unfinished business. I always liked Formula Two, and was fixed on the 1972 season for some reason (Niki Lauda, Mike Hailwood, etc.) I continue with it because I like the Vintage community. |
