The car has been in the US all its life on the west coast originally, then in the mid-west in SCCA. Later converted to autocross with a Mazda rotary engine. Restored to Formula V in 1995. |
| Why I vintage race |
Started racing in 1959 in autocross, then SCCA in 1964 with a Merlyn sports racer. Out of racing for ten years then in 1977 bought a Tiga Formual Ford and ran 3rd in the national run-offs. In 1990 I bought a Merlyn Mrk VI sports racer and began vintage racing. I like vintage racing as it gets me out of the house and beats golf. I enjoy the competitors and others in vintage racing. |
