| Why I vintage race |
It started when I backed a new Speedster off the showroom floor in New Orleans (Feb. 1958), drove to Sebring in March, Califorinia in June, Drivers' School in August (Vacaville) and my first SCCA race in November (Hammond, LA).
It just got worse... I never stopped and ran several other cars over the years, then followed an aging racing car into historic racing, such as it was in 1968-69. From there it was all downhill and now it's still too much fun to quit.
The cars are great, driving them is fun but in the end, the friendships are the big reward.
