Lotus 23 was sold new to Gustav Mason O'kieff of Houston Texas, it ran regional SCCA and USRRC races in the southeast. It later was sold to Bill Overhauser of Sacramento. In 1970 Bill sold it to Bob Benler of Seattle WA where it sat for many years until being restored by Ed Brannon of Scottsdale AZ for vintage racing.
Brabham BT21C was sold new to the US as a FB car to Gary Andreini where it participated locally for some time. It later was sold by noted racer and dealer Michael Gue to Dick Buckingham of WA for vintage racing. Don Roose restored it and it has continued on in vintage racing.

Typical childhood dream story. It was always what I wanted to do but could never make it happen. The vintage groups are so much fun and the people really make it a wonderful social event. |
