1959 MGATwin Cam - 3rd owner..vintage racer for 20 years.. 1959 Byers Special..CR90.. Only one left.. rebuilt on East coast and raced the past 20 years.. 1962 MGA Mk11.. 2nd owner.. SCCA raced in the sixties road driven for 20 years and now setup for CSRG.. We have raced the east coast tracks the past two summers.. Watkins Glen, New Hamphire, Mosport Varac vintage , VIR Gold Cup, Elkhart Lake fall festival, Pittsburgh Grand Prix, Won in 2003. |
| Why I vintage race |
I went to my first race at Bridgehampton in 1952 with my father in a 1947 MGTC.. Went to drivers school at Bridgehampton in 1960 with Mark Donahue, Hank Thorpe, and Joe Buzzeta.. We raced SCCA events in the Northeast thru 1965.. A move to Calif and expanded family and growing business kept us in the spectator mode untill a few years back when we decided to bring the MG back to life. The past few years have been great with CSRG and all its fun and helpful members. |
